Hi, I'm Freya , the person behind PawVentures 👋
Animals have always been a huge part of my life. Growing up, I was happiest around dogs & horses, & not much has changed since.
When I was seven, my family adopted our rescue spaniel, Charlie. Alongside my love of horses, he only strengthened what I'd probably known all along, that animals were always going to be a huge part of my life.
After university, I found myself working in advertising & media. I enjoyed the work & met some wonderful people, but I couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing. As much as I enjoyed it, it never quite felt like where I was meant to be.
In 2025, I had the opportunity to take over a pet care business while a friend was on maternity leave. What started as a temporary opportunity quickly became so much more.
Spending my days outdoors with dogs, getting to know their personalities, supporting their owners, & becoming part of their routines never really felt like work.
After a year of muddy boots, wagging tails, & wonderful clients, I realised I'd found exactly what I'd been looking for all along, so I made the leap & started PawVentures by Freya.
Today, PawVentures is built around being the kind of person I'd want looking after my own animals: reliable, thoughtful, and someone you can trust.
Whether it's a walk, a home visit, or looking after your pet while you're away, my aim is simply to make life a little easier for both pets and their people, & to be someone you can trust when you can't be there yourself.
When I'm not out on PawVentures, you'll usually find me spending time with my two horses, Quinn & Carrot, or learning more about animal behaviour & wellbeing.
